What Sets Us Apart
Our endoscopy center was the first in Acadiana to incorporate high definition equipment, and in fact one of the first in the state to do so. We are totally equipped with HD, which has been proven to have a higher polyp detection rate, and allowing for the highest quality endoscopy available.
Lafayette General Endoscopy Center (LGEC) has earned the designation of "Quality Endoscopy Unit" along with a certificate of recognition from the American Society of Gastrointerology Endoscopy (ASGE). It is the only endoscopy center in Louisiana, and in fact the entire Southeastern region of the U.S. to have achieved this distinction. We are accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare, Inc. A distinction exclusive to LGEC in the Acadiana area.
